ABOUT

I was captured in filmmaking since I was a child. Born on September, 22nd, 1990, in Songklha, a small city in the South of Thailand, I’m the middle child of three daughters. The business of my family is a clothing retail store which is located at a local market in the city. Because it is family owned, my parents didn’t have so much time to spend with their children; me and my sisters mostly took care of each other when we were little. Ours main activity when we were together was watching movies. The activity affects me to be interested in film since then.

When I was in high school, for leisure time, I love shooting videos about everyday life in school for fun, most of them were candid and humourous. I never knew that I had talent in the shooting field, until friends told me that I’m a creative person and my videos entertained them. So , when the time came for me to make a decision to attend a university, I chose a media school.

I moved to Bangkok by myself and I applied for the faculty of medical educational technology at Mahidol University. It teaches a basic of making all kind of media for supporting a medical education; drawing, painting, sculpture, photography and video. And also, I had taken some science classes, such as anatomy and physiology, so students can communicate with medical experts and make media for them; those are the goal of the faculty. The most media I learnt and it intrigued me were photography and videos, because I liked to deal with electronic devices and communicated with other people. When it was the 3rd year of studying in the school, I interned at the most famous live news broadcasting in Thailand; BEC-TERO Entertainment Public Co. Ltd.. As the beginning of the internship, I was taught how to operate machines in a control room; put on graphic while it is live broadcasting, switched camera on screen. After that, I was moved to the studio, learnt the basic of using cameras and cued announcers. It was fun at the beginning but when I did it everyday I felt like it is the same.

Challenge is what I need, that is what I realised from the internship. After I graduated from the

faculty I was thinking about studying more on videos field, plus, I’ve seen many of Thai films and I think it could be better than this. For those reason, I decided to study film abroad because I wanted to explore what people in different places do and think, perhaps I can make something new to the film industry in my country.

Making film is what I want to do for living. January, 2014, I came to the U.S. in an art school; Academy of Art University, focusing on a directing track of Motion Pictures and Television major. I chose the track because I like to make my own crafts with my creativity. It’s been a year that I’m studying in the school and I’ve learnt a lot about making film. So far, I’ve made a number of short films. An amount of them I made taught me every time; about working with people, and I enjoy with it. Working on films while I’m studying at AAU is a pleasure. It ensures me that I totally love to be in this field.
